Building on History
The Ceramics Dept. is a 2600 square foot community clay studio located on the ground floor of the Village of Industry and Art (VIA). The building was originally constructed in 1826 and has been many things before - most recently, The University of the Arts up until 2024. We’re working hard to reopen this May to help keep the arts on The Avenue of the Arts and reimagine the former UArts ceramics department as a public space for anyone interested in working with their hands!
